Free beautician training for underprivileged women
EOI, SILIGURI, 17 Jun 2016: A free training course for underprivileged women from rural areas will commence from June 20 in Siliguri under the stewardship of the Rural Self Employment Training Institute of the Central Bank of India.
Institute director Pinaki Ranjan Chakraborty today held a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists' Club where he said 30 underprivileged females from the closed Panighatta Tea Estate, Chenga Busty, Bagdogra, Naxalbari and remote villages under Naxalbari block will be provided free training. He said the training will include free advance courses on hair styling and professional makeup.
The training session is being supported by Antara Queen Hair and Beauty Academy by providing free space at City Centre for the 10-day training period.
Academy head Munna Chhetri said she is also providing free basic beauty training for women from the rural belts. "My academy is a professional institute but I have been providing free training on beautician courses since the past one month to 15 underprivileged women from Panighatta, Chenga and Panitanki just to make them self-reliant," she said.
Theory classes will commence from June 20 at the Siliguri branch of the Central Bank of India and the practical classes will be held at the Academy's training hall at City Centre.
