Forest stay
TT, Alipurduar, June 24: Bungalows in Jainti forest will be open for tourists this monsoon, although the jungle will be shut from June 16 to September 15.
Ujwal Ghosh, field director of Buxa Tiger Reserve, said: "As per instructions of the chief wildlife warden, I have issued orders to the deputy field directors of BTR (east and west).
Those who have bookings will be able to stay in places that can be reached by PWD roads. Entry to forest roads will be restricted and no jungle safari allowed." Bungalows at Jainti, 28th and 29th Mile in BTR and Santlabari will be open.
