JAP Teachers' union formed

TT, Kalimpong, May 8: Twenty-eight members of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha-affiliated Janmukti Secondary Teachers' Organisation resigned yesterday and formed Madhyamik Sikshak Sangathan that would owe allegiance to the Jana Andolan Party led by Harka Bahadur Chhetri.
Bidya Singh, a co-ordinator of the outfit, said: "We have decided to work under the leadership of Dr Chhetri."
Hari Dahal, a JSTO member here, said: "Our strength is over 600. Their departure won't make a difference."
