Seat slash

TT, Siliguri, April 14: The Medical Council of India has cancelled 11 postgraduate seats at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital as the facility lacks infrastructure and instruments.
Sources said three seats in pathology department, two seats each in eye and ENT departments and four in biochemistry had been slashed.
"We got a letter from the MCI around two weeks back, saying it will not be able to conduct admissions to these seats through counselling of the All India Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Exam and the West Bengal Post-Graduate Medical Admission Test for the 2016-2017 session," an official said.
