Madhyamik results on May 10, HS on May 16

TT, Kolkata: The results of Madhyamik 2016 will be declared on May 10 and of Higher Secondary on May 16.
At least 11.55 lakh students took Madhyamik and 8.50 lakh students the Higher Secondary exams.
"The results will be declared in the morning and students will get their marksheets from schools in the afternoon," said Kalyanmoy Ganguly, administrator, secondary education board.
Mahua Das, the president of the state HS council, said students would get their marksheets from schools on the day the results are declared
After the announcement, students can see their results on websites, the details of which will be announced later.
This year, Madhyamik started on February 1, 20 days earlier than usual, and ended on 10th. HS started a month earlier than usual, on February 15, and ended on 29th.
Last year, the Madhyamik results were declared on May 22 and the Higher Secondary results on May 29.
Students who want to seek admission to undergraduate courses at Presidency University will have to apply online by May 5 to take the entrance test, a university official said on Wednesday.
But students will have the opportunity to log into the system, using their login ID and password, to upload their Plus II results. The last date for uploading Plus II marks will be declared later.
The joint entrance board, which will conduct the entrance test on behalf of Presidency University, had announced on April 5 that students have to enter the best marks of four subjects.
The JEE board had made the announcement assuming that Plus II results would be declared by May 5.
The ISC and CBSE are yet to announce when the results would be declared.
