Recycling competition held under National environmental awareness campaign

KalimNews Jaldhaka, 22 March 2016 . On the occasion of Annual Sports Meet 2016 a recycled material reuse competition was organised by Jaldhaka High School on 22 March 2016. 
The competition was held under the project funded by Federation of Societies for Environmental Protection (FOSEP) , Darjeeling under Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change to aware the students regarding recycling of plastic. Students were encouraged to reuse plastic made articles for constructive and productive use. 12 best plastic only models were selected for the final competition. 
The first prize was awarded to Anuka Mangar while the second was awarded to Mira Sharma and third to Suman Pradhan. Aryan Mangar, Bimal Rai, Ajay Biswakarma, Priya Khawas, Sagun Rai, Anjana Tamang, Sanjok Tamang, Romika Rai and Neha Gurung received consolation prizes. 
The first prize winning model was a bowl made up of water bottle caps while the second prize model was a flower vase decorative made up of Dextrose /saline water bottle (plastic). The third one was a trophy made up of water bottle.
Dr. Lobsang Lama Yolmo, Deputy Chairman of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Sabha was the chief Guest who gave away the prizes to the winners.
