Namo gets his orchid

NIRMAL MANGER, TT, Gangtok: A hybrid cymbidium orchid was named Namo that stands for Narendra Modi by Sikkim chief minister Pawan Chamling in Gangtok on Monday. The Prime Minister who was in the Himalayan state named two other varieties of orchids after Deendayal Upadhyaya and Sardar Patel. Modi praised the efforts of the Sikkim government in turning the state into an organic one and said all others in the country should follow suit. He was speaking at the National Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare at Chintan Bhavan "I am happy to be here," Modi said in Nepali and thanked the farmers of Sikkim for their efforts on organic farming.
