TT, Darjeeling, Dec. 12: Calcutta High Court Chief Justice Manjula Chellur today said a lok adalat would be held in Darjeeling based on inputs collected from litigants by students of a law college.
Justice Chellur, who was in Darjeeling to attend a National Lok Adalat session, said: "Tomorrow in Siliguri we will adopt a village in Sukna through a local law college. The students will visit each house and find out about litigants and legal problems. It could be water connections, electricity connections; it could be about bore wells, getting a birth certificate, death certificate, admission in schools."
Based on the inputs gathered by the students of the Indian Institute of Legal Studies in Siliguri, a lok adalat will be organised.
