Chef Manoj inaugurates global cuisine restaurant in Siliguri
PRASHANT ACHARYA, EOI, Siliguri 29 Dec 2015: "Cooking was my passion and as I got older, I realized I was drawn to smells when my mother and neighbors cooked in kitchen", said Chef Manoj Shaw who earned name and fame in India and abroad after working in the prestigious hotels.
Born in the beautiful hills of Jorethang, Sikkim Manoj have now established global cuisine restaurant in the heart of Siliguri to cater to any depth to satisfy the customer's taste bud.
Manoj said "When I moved to Hyatt Group of Hotels where I truly understood food as a business not about cooking but about owning your tasks and seeking its fruition, re-innovating taking a second look on first impressions. In the beginning I worked under the tutelage of some the most phenomenal chefs I gained a vision and working style that cemented further growth and ambitions in me. Now I decided to establish my own restaurant to provide the taste of foods to the customers which I learned from the cooking world."
After completing hotel management Manoj worked in several eminent hotels including Hotel Hyatt in India and Dubai.
'Aangan' a newly built restaurant was inaugurated today where one can taste Indian including international food like Continental, Chinese, Thai, Mongolian, Oriental, Lebanese, Japanese and Italian. The complete veg restaurant also caters homemade Pasta, Risotto and Pizza in USP in Italian delicacies.
When asked about the vision of opening a restaurant in Siliguri he replied, "The vision of this restaurant is to be the numerouno in the entire North Eastern state in terms of cuisine, service and outdoor catering."
