Minor Adivasi girl rescued from Bihar by DE and SSB

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 November 2015: A minor Adivasi girl abducted and raped by a man posing as a priest was rescued from Ajamnagar, Katihar Bihar. 

Paul Prakash 55 yr is arrested with the help of Duars Expressmail an NGO located in Oodlabari Duars and 10th Batallion SSB of Mal Bazar. 

As per information received 23 years ago Paul Prakash of Purniya Bihar came to Lish river Tea garden church in the Western Duars and befriended the people of that area and the victim's mother. 

After so many years he visited that place again and contacted mother of the victim Purnima (name changed) on 28th October 2015 and this time he introduced himself as a church Pastor.

Prakash took advantage of their simplicity and became close to Purnima 12 yr. and her mother and they confided on him because he told them that he is a priest. In the morning of 4th November when Purnima's mother was out to her field Purnima was abducted by Prakash. 

On finding Purnima missing she suspected her to be abducted by Prakash because he too was missing and reported to Duars Express mail (DE) Office. 

An FIR was lodged at Mal Police station and an information was given to the 10th Bn SSB of Mal. Team of SSB and DE started investigation and on finding clues went to Bihar on 8th November and found Purnima with Prakash. 

DE representatives Kumar Chhetri and Pintu Vaidhya with the help of SI Abinas Kumar and Kishor Kumar of SSB, arrested Prakash on 10th November at Ajamnagar, Katihar Bihar with the girl and brought both of them to Mal. 

Md. Anwar Hossein General Secretary informed the press that the case is being started and the accused will be prosecuted under POSCO. As per Raju Nepali activist and chief functionary of Duars Express mail Prakash is a fake christian and poses as a pastor and had told Purnima that he wanted her to join a school and study further and on that plea he lured her to accompany him. 

Purnima testified that she was brought to Bhitrigaon of Katihar and Prakash raped her. Then she was brought to Ajamnagar of Katihar and was ready to sale her. It was quick initiative of DE and SSB Mal that gave her a new life.
