BSF jawans seize explosives stuffed inside cow’s belly, 2 held
EOI, SILIGURI, 1 Aug 2015: BSF authorities say they have stumbled upon a strange attempt by some people of smuggling explosives into Indian territory.
They said a group of BSF jawans early Saturday morning intercepted two men trying to smuggle explosives that were packed inside the stomach of a cow that was part of the herd they were taking to the Naxalbari area near the Indo-Nepal border.
The jawans became suspicious when they noticed stitch marks on the cow’s belly, and when they checked through a metal detector, the explosives were detected. A BSF officer said the two have been arrested and are suspected to be involved in terror activities.
