WhatsApp group helps find woman
A local police source said Kalpana Jain's husband had filed a missing diary at the local police station in Kesar Ganj on July 16 after his wife did not return home.
Mahesh Parekh, the general secretary of Balurghat Law College and one of the youths who rescued the housewife, said: "The woman was moving aimlessly in the College More area here on July 18. We saw her and came to know that she was from Rajasthan. She could not speak much as she was feeble. We called the police and they admitted her to the district hospital. We came to know from her later that she had boarded an Agra-bound train and reached Sealdah."
"From there, she boarded the Gour Express and came to Balurghat. We made a group on WhatsApp and her husband luckily contacted us. We also circulated her photo in the group. Her husband Bijay Jain along with some police officers from Rajasthan came today to Balurghat and met his wife. We are happy that our efforts paid off."
The woman's husband who is a businessman, said: "I am grateful to the youths who helped me find my wife."
