Roshni running 8 hour run - Runtastics "Dilse in Mumbai" supporting OROP for Indian Soldiers

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 24 July 2015: Roshni Rai, international marathon runner is running 8 hour run - Runtastics "Dilse in Mumbai" which is dedicated to Soldiers specially the Gorkha Regiment.
Roshni who hails from Pedong a hill town of Kalimpong in the district of Darjeeling says that in Darjeeling, every village has lost at least one of its son fighting for us in the borders. so this run is dedicated to our fellow martyrs and soldiers.
Roshni is running in support of a run to be run in Delhi on 26th July, 2015 by Maj D P Singh, a Kargil war veteran. Maj Singh is running the run  in support of the demand of OROP (One rank One pension) for Indian Soldiers .
Roshni adds "I am very proud to be a daughter of an Ex Army, who had fought the Bangladesh Liberation War 1971 and it is my Papa's right for OROP and I support that".
It is reminded that 26th July is Kargil Victory day (Vijay Diwas), a celebration for the victory of 1999. Members of Gorkha Youth and Students' Association of India - GYASA Association from Delhi will also be joining Major DP Singh. 
Roshni has also championed in forming the team "Run with Roshni" with an aim to help the hill Marathon runners to run national marathon runs.
13 runners of the team Run with Roshni are running the Mumbai Standard Chartered Marathon in different categories on 16th January 2016 in Mumbai.
Roshni with the help of Mumbai Gorkhas is helping the team to meet the expenditures of traveling and stay for the runners of the team Run with Roshni to run various marathons throughout the country.
Since 2012 it is being done by Roshni an international marathon runner with the help of her runner friends and well wishers. Now more people and groups like Bharatiya Gorkha Ekta Samaj of Mumbai have come to help Roshni.
This year too Bharatiya Gorkha Ekta Samaj and Gorkha Youths of Mumbai is helping the team by organising charity shows and others for raising the fund to meet the expenditure.
Roshni a marathon runner since 2007 has left her job of Legal Executive at Colgate Palmolive and has emphasised to give her time, energy and expertise in encouraging the youth for leadership and marathon as well.
