Japanese Encephalitis cases

TT, Siliguri, July 8: MLA Rudranath Bhattacharya today said there is no need to panic over the cases of Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome in north Bengal as the state was alert and wanted to bring down the number of deaths caused by the disease.
"At present, two JE patients and eight others suffering from AES are admitted to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. However, this is not an alarming figure and there is no need to panic," said Bhattacharya, who is also the chairman of the Assembly's standing committee on health.:
