Two youths die in head-on collision in Dooars
EOI, JALPAIGURI, 26 Jun 2015: Two youths riding a scooter died on spot after colliding head- on with a parked truck at a highway near the Damdim Camp in Dooars on Friday morning, said the police.
The incident took place at around 9 am when the two deceased, identified as Kunal Munda (23) and Gyan Baraik (24), residents of Kumlai and Juramti tea estate, were heading towards their friend’s place beyond the permitted speed limit, informed a police spokesperson.
Kunal’s head has been completely ripped apart, while the two-wheeler they were riding was smashed to pieces, he further said, also adding that the body has been sent for autopsy.
