Swachh bharat Abhiyan in GTA
“Everything has to start from the heart and it is important to cleanse one’s heart to cleanse corruption from the place. We will be a model in cleanliness in Bengal and every Thursday, GTA officials will keep aside their work and come out to clean their office premises and the surrounding areas.”
The clean drive was also started to mark the 147th birth anniversary of Sister Nivedita, who had died at Roy Villa in Darjeeling in 1911.
Gurung took part in the cleanliness drive on the Mall Road and in the Gorkha Rangamanch Bhavan also.
The GTA’s health department has decided to conduct a cleanliness drive in all hospitals in Darjeeling on November 2. Picture by Suman Tamang
