Passport camp

TT, Calcutta, Oct. 13: Passport applicants from Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar and North Dinajpur districts will get a chance to have the papers processed at a camp to be held in Siliguri next week instead of travelling all the way here.
The first 300 applicants to enrol online will get to attend the camp on October 18 and 19 where papers would be processed the way it is done at the Passport Seva Kendras in Calcutta and Behrampore.
The camp would be held at SMP Guest House on Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad office premises, RN Mukherjee Road, Hakimpara. The online application slot for an appointment at the camp would be opened from October 15.
“One has to log on to www.passportindia.gov.in. A person has to get a print out of the page with reference number and all papers to the camp,” said Geetika Srivastava, regional passport officer, Calcutta.
