Himali Boarding School continues to outshine rivals

EOI, Kurseong, 30 September 2014: New Delhi-based C fore and Bangalore’s Education World have once again feted Himali Boarding School of Kurseong for performing well in the field of education. These two educational adjudicators conduct surveys on various aspects and parameters of education every year in schools across the country.
Himali Boarding School has been ranked the No. 1 Co-ed boarding school in West Bengal for the second time in two consecutive years. School director Rabindra Kumar Subba received the award on September 20 at a programme organised at Lalit Hotel, New Delhi. Himali has also been ranked 17th among co-ed boarding schools in the country.
Some other schools from the Darjeeling hills have also succeeded in marking their presence in the rankings. St. Augustine’s School and Dr. Grahams’ Homes of Kalimpong were ranked 2nd and 4th respectively among day-cum-boarding schools in the state. Loreto Convent of Darjeeling, the oldest and one of the most reputed schools, stood No. 6 in the girls’ day schools in state rankings, while for it ranked 21st nationwide.
In the Best Boys Boarding Schools India Ranking category, St. Joseph’s School (North Point School), Darjeeling ranked 9th, St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling stood 11th, while Goethals Memorial School, Kurseong was placed in 24th position.
