Darjeeling Left Front to stage agitation shortly

EOI, 25 October 2014: Darjeeling Left Front government is to stage a rally on the 14th of Nov in Siliguri to demand fresh election on the district civic bodies.  In a press meeting held today at the Left Front party office Anil Biswas Bhawan, the party Convener Ashok Bhattarcharya said that the main focus of the rally would be to protest against the many issues that have emerged recently from the Trinamool and the Centre’s black box like the arrest of BJP minister Alok Sen, Saradha scam, SJDA scam, and the Dengue screening camp, etc.  Bhattarcharya strongly criticized the state health department for their failure in checking the outbreak of the disease saying that if more people aside the 20 would have done blood test then more infected people would have been surfaced.
The Trinamool Congress has been trying to toy with every health organizations of the district. He further said that just speaking words of glory and emerging in the papers does not mend the problems but fresh civic election is the only possible answer to the current tension. The TMC are very sly, the upcoming December carnival is their trick to avoid the civic election, he added.
Citing the Alok Sen arrest case, Bhattarcharya blatantly proclaimed that the BJP government has been getting richer everyday after attaining the central seat. Their Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan is just another way to manipulate people’s sensitivity, he added.
Lastly, he also informed that a meeting would be summoned at the party office on 27th Oct, this month to form a blueprint of the slated agitation.
