Besides, the three accused students were remanded further in police custody by the ACJM, Bolpur. The student visited Santiniketan with her parents.
The police previously contacted her to record her statement. At Santiniketan police outpost she gave her statement and also lodged a separate complaint.
The three accused persons were produced in the court today. The police had asked for five days’ custody. However, the ACJM allowed two days’ police custody.
Meanwhile, Behrampur MP Adhir Choudhury today met Vice-Chancellor Sushanta Dattagupta. He discussed the ongoing student harassment issue.
The students of the varsity, meanwhile, convened a meeting at 'Gour Prangan".
The victim's father also attended the meeting.
He said that he would lodge a complaint of harassment against the university authorities tomorrow. He also said he would not let his daughter study on at the university.
