UGC team at Visva

TT, Sept. 6: Visva-Bharati today failed to tell a UGC team where a Kala Bhavana student was allegedly sexually harassed by three seniors on August 18.
Tezpur University vice-chancellor Mihir Kanti Choudhury and former UGC joint secretary Ratnabali Banerjee visited the university today to probe the first-year girl’s allegation and what action Visva-Bharati had taken.
The two-member UGC team visited Burdwan Medical College Hospital, where the girl is admitted, but her father did not allow the two to meet her.
