Siliguri growing steadily as realty market hub

EOI, Siliguri, 9 Aug 2014: Some real estate rating agencies from Mumbai are of the opinion that Siliguri is quickly rising at par with the real estate hubs of Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Surrounded by the four nations of Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and China and being the gateway to the north eastern states, the culture of residing in flats is coming of age, they added.
Real Ratings and research agency CRISIL’s director Anurag Jhanwar said, “Siliguri is a strategic town and there are myriad opportunities for multi-storeyed residential and commercial buildings to come up. And gradually, due to lack of space, there will be no other option but to move in this direction.”
At the same time, he expressed reservations against high-rise culture as the region falls under a highly earthquake prone zone.
Jhanwar, a young and talented entrepreneur, has achieved commendable success in real estate business. He said, “The key factors evaluated in the Star Ratings process are quality of legal documentation, construction related risks, financial flexibility/viability of the project, besides the background and track record of the builder.”
For the first time in the history of North Bengal, CRISIL has accorded four and five star ratings to SANDEEPG Real Estate’s ‘Mayfair Paradise’.
Sandeep Goyal, one of the directors, said, “It gives immense pleasure to receive the star rating certificate from such a reputed firm.” SANDEEPG Real Estate was established in Siliguri in the year 2004.
