State Govt appoints new departmental advisors, chairpersons

DICHEN ONGMU, EOI, Gangtok, 28 Jul 2014: The Sikkim government Saturday issued a notification appointing advisors and chairpersons of various departments and organizations. Eleven Advisors and 23 chairpersons were appointed, informs an SDF release.
According to the SDF release, the government advisors are BS Pant (Engery & Power), Mingma Tshering Sherpa (Roads & Bridges), P.L.Subba (Transport), Binod Rai (Water Security & PHE), M.B. Dahal (Tourism), C.B. Karki (Rural Development), Sonam Gyatso Bhutia (Agriculture), Menlom Lepcha (Sikkim State Trading Corporation), Lakpa Tshering Ghisingh (Ecclesiastical), Madan Cintury (Irrigation), Em Prasad Sharma (Building & Housing).
The chairpersons appointed by the government are Shanta Ghatani (Sikkim SC Welfare Board), Sonam Dupden Lepcha (Sikkim Primitive Tribe Welfare Board), K.B. Chamling (State Bank of Sikkim), Rastaman Rai (Sikkim State Trading Corporation), Puran Kumar Gurung (Denzong Agriculture Cooperative Society), Pintso Lepcha, (Transport), Basant Lamichaney (Sikkim SC, ST and OBC Development Board), Mallika Suba (Sikkim Khadi), Topda Bhutia (Sikkim Labour Welfare Board), K.B. Subba (Sikkim Poultry Development Board), Phurba Sherpa (Sikkim Juvenile Justice Board), Manita Mangar (OBC Welfar Board), Mohan Chamling (Temi Tea Board), Chopel Bhutia (Commerce & Industries), Krishna Bhandari (Sikkim Industrial Development & Investment Corporation), I.B. Rai (Sikkim State Cooperative Bank Limited), Pema Tshering Lama (Sikkim ST Welfare Board), Sumitra Subba (Sikkim Consumer Cooperative Society), Indra Pradhan (Sikkim Welfare Board), R.N. Rai (Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation), P Shankar (Environment Board), Khem Prasad Dahal (Sikkim Agriculture & Horticulture Board) and J.B. Tamang (Sikkim Medicinal Plants Board).
