Temi brings out new tea products

EOI & IPR: Tourism & Civil Aviation and Commerce & Industries Department Minister Ugen T Gyatso today launched new packets of Temi Green Tea and Temi Tea Gold in the presence of Commerce and Industry secretary PT Euthenpa, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department secretary C Zangpo and other senior state government officials.

Both Temi Green Tea and Temi Tea Gold (a blend of green and black tea), new products offered by Temi Tea Estate, are fully organic and have been made readily available in the markets.

Gyatso said Temi Tea Estate started manufacturing organic green tea keeping in view the increasing demand for green tea from consumers, and the product will cater well to the needs of green tea lovers.  The two organic products will prove to be great achievements in the state’s Organic Mission, he added.

The minister further informed the state government is focusing on  expanding the plantation area of Temi Tea Estate and the move will help in employing more locals as also enhance the state’s revenue.

Temi Tea Estate general manager Ravi Kumar said the garden is popular for manufacturing Orthodox Black Tea under the brand name 'Temi Tea', which has carved a niche for itself in both local and overseas markets.  The new green tea manufactured by the estate retains the unique flavour and natural taste of Temi Tea, he added.
