Buddha attacks Modi

SNS, Naihati, 13 April 2014: Former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya today during a public rally at Naihati slammed the Opposition parties and claimed BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was "mad".
The rally was organised by the CPI-M and held at the Railway field of Naihati. Forward Bloc leader Mr Ashoke Ghose, CPI-M's Lok Sabha candidate for Barrackpore Mrs Suvashini Ali and former transport minister Mr Ranjit Kundu were present at the rally. Mr Bhattacharya was here to campaign for Mrs Ali for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Mr Bhattacharya said this Lok Sabha poll would be very difficult. "This time we can't just say remove the BJP or the Congress. We should remove all of them," he said.
He attacked Mr Modi and said he was mad. The former CM alleged Mr Modi was an RSS supporter. "The RSS supporters don't follow the Constitution and they also do not like Hindu-Muslim unity. It will be dangerous, if he becomes the next Prime Minister," Mr Bhattacharya said.
He said the new government should start VAT system in rationing, otherwise poverty will rise with the rise in prices of vegetables and rice.
He demanded Rs 16,000 as remuneration per annum for mill workers and Rs 4,000 as pension.
He launched an indirect attack on Trinamul leader Mr Anubrata Mandal. He said nowadays the chief minister holds public rallies with a district leader who threatened to burn the homes of CPI-M supporters and even threatened to murder them.
"If it had happened during my tenure as CM, I would have ordered for his arrest," he said.
