
Bail plea of four rejected
SNS, Siliguri, 13 December 2013: The Siliguri Court today rejected the bail plea of four accused persons, who were arrested on charges of alleged smuggling of around 500 ml of venom supposedly of cobra, worth around Rs 1 crore in the international market.
“The additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) Mr A H M Rahman heard the case and rejected the bail plea of four accused
persons Nasiruddin Mohammed, Niraj Darnal, Ajay Kumar Rai and an ASI of the State Armed Police, Seikh Sajimuddin.
Sajimuddin and Darnal were remanded in 14-day judicial custody and two others Darnal and Nasiruddin were remanded in
three-day police custody,” said the assistant public prosecutor of Siliguri ACJM court, Mr Sudip Roy
Basunia.
