One arrested for shooting lottery dealers
Rajesh Sharma, KalimNews, 20 Oct 2013: One person is arrested for shooting at two lottery dealers from Vivekananda Palli of Jaigaon, Roop Sen and Prasanjeet Burman, on 19th October.
Both Sen and Burman has sustained bullet injuries when they were shot at by three criminals riding in motorcycles. They were returning home after shutting their lottery shop, said OC Pankaj Thapa.
The other two criminals fled the site after one of the suspected offenders named Lachu Rava 22 of Mendabari was nabbed by locals after the firing.
Rava is injured when local residents rushed for rescue of the lottery dealers. He is now under treatment at the Alipurduar Sub Divisional Hospital.
Later Jaigaon police arrested Sukumar Ghosh 28 and Lakhan Ghosh 37 from the Bhutan Gate area.
The two were presented at the Alipurduar Court and are now under 14 days' police remand.
Lachu has also named Bimal Rava of Rava Busty involved in the attack and police is looking for him too.
