Golay says party formed to usher change in system
SNS, Gangtok, 8 October 2013: The Opposition leader leading the Parivartan movement in Sikkim, Mr P S Tamang known as Golay today said that Sikkim Krantikari Morcha now in the van of the oust Chamling movement said the party would not support any move to reduce it to one pandering to the whims of an individual.
He said this while addressing a party gathering mostly comprising the newly joined members at the SKM headquarters today.
Over 600 people have today joined SKM.
Besides, Mr Golay welcomed many former supporters of the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front and government employees who had joined the party on 6 October.
Making his second official speech after joining SKM on 6 October, he said: “Sikkim Krantikari Morcha has been formed to usher in change in the system,” he said.
“Every supporter must personify what the party stands for in terms of ideology. Ideology must the gelling factor and no individual whoever he is would be allowed to prevail over it,” he asserted.
Reiterating his one-man, one-post policy, Mr Golay said the party would not brook any individual holding dual posts and misusing the party to advance his individual interests.
“This party stands for collective leadership. We must work as a team,” he added.
