Posters appear in Kalimpong bearing new outfit name

EOI, Kalimpong: Following the centre’s approval for Telengana and amid the agitation for Gorkhaland being spearheaded by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, new posters have surfaced in Kalimpoing in the name of hitherto unknown organizations to raise the curiosity of the townspeople. 

Posters bearing slogans such as ‘Gorkhaland Zindabad’ and bearing the stamp of Krantikari Yuva Jamat have been spotted at several spots across town. No prior information about the new outfit has come from anywhere in the subdivision. In one of the posters, the outfit has appealed to all Gorkhas to wake up and fight for statehood, while another warns the state government and GTA leaders. 

The one at Novelty’s premises reads, “The state and central governments would be responsible for any incident in the hills.” 

Such writings surfacing on the third day of the GJM-led 72-hour bandh have done enough to create confusion and commotion among GJM supporters. Interestingly, none of the posters have been shred, with residents saying a new and strong outfit must be on the rise in the Hills.
