No relaxation in the indefinite strrike of GJM
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 August 2013: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has declared that there will be no relaxation in the indefinite strike as announced earlier.
Only this morning GJM had declared that after 96 hrs strike starting from 3rd August there will be 2 days' relaxation. But it had suddenly changed its stand on the relaxation and made a public announcement in the afternoon that there will be no relaxation in the indefinite strike.
The relaxation will be only on 15th August.
Bimal Gurung president of GJM has stated in his Facebook social networking site that he had come to know that 5 companies of CRPF is being sent to Darjeeling.
He adds. " After hearing this I have decided to take a Hard Stand for Gorkhaland. There will be no relaxation of any strikes and the only relaxation will be on 15th August. The CRPF is not needed to Darjeeling as we are having a peaceful agitation. The Government is trying to use force upon us and we must stay together. I am ready to die for Gorkhaland."
Some sources said that GJM is being pressurised by its frontal wings for strong stand against the relaxation in the strike so that people may take GJM as the only political party having no alternative.
