Chamling tries to woo estranged voters
SNS, Gangtok, 22 July 2013: The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), the Opposition party in Sikkim, alleged that the Chief Minister Mr Pawan Chamling is now intent on tickling emotions to win back the estranged section of the electorate of the state, keeping in view next year’s Assembly election.
"Such emotion-packed rhetoric is misleading the people," said the SKM publicity secretary, Mr Jacob Khaling in a media statement issued yesterday. “Instead of finding amicable solutions, the CM is passing the buck on others.
Our party is ever cautious to gun down his tactics of pushing Sikkim into communal tension like the one reportedly triggered by the AOSS petition in the Supreme Court,” said Mr Khaling.
He said the CM ought to go to any length to secure the rights and the special constitutional provisions meant for the state.
