Former Uttarakhand CM supports Advani’s resignation

SNS, KURSEONG, 11 JUNE 2013: The senior BJP leader and the former chief minister of Uttarakhand,Mr Bhagat Singh Koshyari believes that Mr L K Advani who has taken the resignation decision, must have done it with greatthought and care, but keeping the party in mind he has to retrieve back his resignation letter.
Mr B S Koshyari was on a visit to Darjeeling Hills as a member of Parliament with a team of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy when Mr Advani wrote a letter to Mr Rajnath Singh, BJP president tendering his resignation from the three foras.
While talking to reporters at Kurseong in Darjeeling Hills on his way back to Delhi, he said: "Advaniji is a veteran leader whom every section of society and from all walks of life respect him. From a small plant he has turned the BJP into a sturdy tree. That is why, whatever step he takes, he will do it so that the BJP as a party, finally moves forward and the tree that he has raised will bear fruit for all. Hence, I feel that whatever step he has taken must have been done with great thought. All our party members are requesting Advaniji to take back his resignation.
"Advaniji has looked after the plant (BJP) and raised it into a tree. I feel that sometimes human decisions can be made early or late and if he has taken the decision in the interest of the party, then the party workers' wish that the resignation be taken back will have to be heard."
When asked regarding the making of Mr Narendra Modi, he said: "Modi is an eligible chief minister and he is also a good party worker. Advaniji held his fingers and taught him to walk. Advaniji has developed many good individuals and made them leaders. Modi is one of them."
