Paramilitary forces deployed in Darjeeling

ENS, Kolkata, March 10, 2013: Three companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in Darjeeling after the GJM Yuva Morcha leaders attacked a group of Trinamool Congress leaders in Kalimpong a couple of days ago.
Citing the 'volatile' situation in Darjeeling, the central government has deployed two companies of CRPF and a company of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) in three subdivisions of Darjeeling.
Kunal Agarwal, SP, Darjeeling confirmed that two companies of CRPF would reach Darjeeling on Sunday.
"We have deployed three companies of paramilitary forces in three sub-divisions in Darjeeling. Two CRPF companies would reach Darjeeling tomorrow." Significantly, the two companies of CRPF were withdrawn from Junglemahal area and to be deployed in Darjeeling.
A couple of days ago, Chhewang Bhutia, one of the prime witnesses in the murder case of ABGL president Madan Tamang, was attacked by the Yuva Morcha leaders in Kalimpong and is in critical condition now.
