Dacoits murder woman in Kalimpong

KalimNews, Kalimpong 4th March 2013: A housewife was murdered in broad day light in Kalimpong on Monday. According to information received some miscreants entered the house of Rajen Tamang located in the East Main Road near Water Works office and killed his wife Jamuna (50) by attacking with a sharp-edged weapon, police said.
The sensational incident took place in Kalimpong when some dacoits entered the house of Tamang at about 4pm of 4th March and decamped with money and valuables, police said. Her husband Rajen Tamang has been working in the Middle East and she was staying with her daughter.Rajen and Jamuna's other two daughters are married. Broad day light theft is also reported from two more houses in Kalimpong and three are arrested in this connection from Rambi with some stolen articles.
When Jamuna's daughter returned from her parlour she saw her mother in a pool of blood and found valuables stolen from the house and reported to the police. A case has been registered in this regard and further probe by Police is on the murder cum dacoity, said Songmit Lepcha ASP after visiting the spot. Evidences indicated entry of some familiar people to Jamuna's house
