Shudder over Bankura visit- Akansha's parents demand death penalty for Udayan

TT, Bankura, Feb. 5: Akansha's parents Shivendra and Shashibala Sharma today demanded the death penalty for Udayan and "shuddered" while recalling a visit by him to their home here in October.
"I shudder to think of the two days in October last year that Udayan spent in our house. When we came to know that he had also murdered his parents, it became clear to us that he had actually come to kill us too," Shivendra said.
The bank manager feared Udayan could kill their only son Ayush, a college student, and said the youth should never come out of jail.
Asked whether he was demanding the death penalty, Shivendra said: "Yes, he should be hanged to death. Otherwise, we will be in danger. Whenever he is released from jail, he will definitely kill us and our only son."
An inconsolable Shashibala sought the "severest" punishment for the murder. "I want the severest of punishment for the crime."
Akansha, who was 28, had told her parents while leaving their Bankura home in June last year that she was going to the US to work for a global aid agency. The parents had been against her relationship with Udayan, police said.
