SNS, Kurseong, 1 February 2017: Through proper advertisement and establishment of various tourism infrastructure, not only Netaji Museurn,Kurseong, but the entire Kurseong region should be highlighted and promoted, feel Kurseong residents.
On 22 January, addressing a Netaji birth anniversary programme at Chowrasta in Darjeeling, state CM Mamata Banerjee had announced Rs 10 Lakh for upgrading of Netaji Museum, located at Giddha Pahar in Kurseong, Not only this, she had also vowed to do more for the Netaji Museum Kurseong from the tourism point of view in the coming days.
The people in the hills have appreciated the initiative taken up by the chief minister Mr. Bhusan Chettri, a local resident of Kurseong, said that the announcement made by the state CM regarding the Netaji Museum, Kurseong, is really to be appreciated.
He added that through the establishment of different homstay and other tourism infrastructure near Netaji Museum, the museum can definitely attract more tourists to Netaji museum and also the Kurseong region as a whole.
He added that the people can see museums related to Netaji all over the country. Hence, proper advertisement and promotion of the Netaji Museum is necessary at different tourism points in Darjeeling hills as well as other places in the country if the Kurseong Netaji museum is to be promoted in a better way. The house, located at Gidda pahar, a few km. from Kurseong town where Subhas Chandra Bose spent some time during the freedom struggle has been converted into a museum.
